BT Release Notes – 14 Mar 2022 – R 1.8

Dear Esteemed User,

We are pleased to inform you that we have released the below mentioned upgrades to Bharat Trade. We hope these upgrades will improve your experience while using the application.

These upgrades include new features, enhancement of existing features, process flow changes and fixes to bugs.

Note: In case you are facing any difficulty in accessing the application post upgrade, we request you to logout of the application, clear your browser cookies & cache and then log into the application again.

Major Upgrades 

Export Pre-Advice

  1. If Box Operator has mentioned an ISO code in Export Pre-Advice, then nominated parties cannot change the ISO Code.

2. An Export Pre-Advice in Completed status can be re-opened, by Shipping Lines, using edit button, to add more containers. However,

a.      If the corresponding vessel has already sailed, then the Box Operator cannot re-open this booking.

b.      This functionality is enabled only for IGT Cochin, NSICT and NSIGT Nhava Sheva Mumbai Terminals.

3. An Export Pre-Advice for Empty Containers in “Active” or “Partial Gated In” status will now expire automatically within 1 hour of vessel departure. On expiry, user can use the containers in this EPA to create a new EPA for next vessel. 

Internal Message Processing

4. Bharat Trade will now be able to disregard duplicate containers in PCS AGDORD messages   and successfully process the message.

5. Bharat Trade will now be able to successfully process PCS AGDORD message received from Box Operators who have multiple line codes.

Nominate EgatePass

6. In CCT Chennai, NSICT/NSIGT Nhava Sheva it is now mandatory for a Vessel Operating Agent (VOA) to select the type of nominated party while giving forms – CP if it is a Consortium Partner or COA if it is a Container Operating Agent (COA).

EgatePass

7. The logic for processing Gate Moves received from Zodiac has been enhanced. for NSICT & NSIGT Nhava Sheva. This will now resolve the following issues:

a.      Incorrectly updating same container on two different EgatePass.

b.      Incorrectly updating two different container numbers on the same EgatePass.

c.      Process Gate Moves from Zodiac & correctly update the status of EgatePass even if previously cancelled by the terminal.

8. The Container Status will change to “LOADED” in case an export container has been Loaded on a vessel. 

Import Release

9. An Import Container having Shipping Status as “Re-export- RX” will not be available in Bharat Trade for creating Import Release.

Pendency Report

10.  Now the Pendency Report will show count of Discharged Reconcile containers (yet to be discharged from vessel) along with the Discharged Containers (containers available in yard). 

11.  Re-engineered the internal logic to show correct count of containers in Pendency Report .

Company Registration

12.  A new status called “Partially Rejected” is now available. In case a registration of a company is approved by one service provider but rejected by another then “Partially Rejected” status will be shown for such companies. 

13.  Now following 4 mandatory documents are required to be uploaded while registering a company:

a.      Company PAN Card

b.      GST (if applicable)

c.      CHA Licence Number (if applicable)

d.      Importer / Exporter Code (if applicable)

 

Minor Updates

EgatePass 

14.  Search criteria “Add Dates” has been relabelled as “Created From/To Date” .

15.  Now users can nominate vehicle to an EgatePass which had been cancelled by user when in Open Status.

16.  In case an Export Pre-Advise is created using File Upload Service, on cancellation of Export Pre-Advise, the corresponding EgatePass will now get automatically deleted.

17.  Fixed an issue which was causing a future date being printed as “EgatePass Printed Date” for some EgatePass being printed between 27th to 31st December.

18.  The egatepass status will change to “Failed” status instead of remaining in “Open” in case an EgatePass cancellation request has been unsuccessful.

19.  Now Bharat Trade will not allow cancellation of an EgatePass for which Gate Activity has already started at NSICT and NSIGT Nhava Sheva. 

Export Pre-Advice

20.  For Hazardous Cargo, users can add multiple UN Number on the same IMDG Code.  

21.  Removed duplicate Commodity descriptions mentioned in the Instruction File for Bulk Upload. 

22.  Users can now create a new Export Pre-Advice (EPA) for a container which had Gated In on an EPA which currently is in “Partial Gated In” Status. Previously this issue stopped the users from creating a new Export Pre-advise.

23.  On Rail Export Pre-Advice upload which has hazardous export containers, an alert message, informing users to upload mandatory IMDG document (MSDS) in the EgatePass screen, will now be shown. 

Import Release

24.  An Import Release created for a DPD container will now inform user that an approval is required from the Terminal to activate the release.

25.  Fixed an issue due to which the correct container status (Departed) was not reflecting on Import Release Screen.

26.  User will not be allowed to use the same Delivery Reference number which has been previously registered for a different Import Release. This issue was faced only if user tried to submit Import Release simultaneously from two different browsers.

27.  For a Freight Forwarder / CHA registered in two different locations with same Issuer Identifier Code, the company was not able to see the Import Release transaction even though they were nominated. This issue has been fixed.

28.  Users can now nominate an Import Release to a company who has special character (eg “/”) in their company code.

File Upload

29. Duplicate Commodity description removed from instruction file. 30. Fixed an issue which was causing Error 500 while uploading file. 

31.  Error messages amended :

a.      If a user uploads a file with an incorrect Port of origin, then application will show error message “Invalid Port of Origin / Place of Receipt”.

b.      If user uploads file with incorrect Final Port of Destination, then application will show appropriate error message.

32.  Origin type field is not case sensitive anymore, ie, entries such as ICD Road or icd road, both will be accepted by the application.

33.  Application will automatically omit any blank space entered by user in Port codes. This will reduce the failure encountered while using File upload. 

34.  A Box Operator who does not have forms allocated  by VOA or CP, will not be able to use File Upload at CCT Chennai, NSICT & NSIGT Nhava Sheva .

Nominate EgatePass

35.  Updated the alert message displayed to a Consortium Partner when he/she is trying to nominate forms to another Consortium Partner.

36.  The application will now automatically detect and insert the VOA’s line code in the VOA field when he is nominating forms on the service. In case  VOA has multiple line code registered, then application will prompt the VOA to select the correct line code.

Internal Message Processing

37.  Fixed error 500 issue due to which inventory for some import containers were not being created. 

38.  Fixed error 500 issue due to which the container status was not getting updated to “Discharged” status.

39.  Improved performance of internal logic which processes overall container related information.

Pendency Report

40. Any special character (eg - , . etc) mentioned in the agent reference number field of Import Release, will now be correctly displayed in csv download file of Pendency Report.

Company Registration

41.  Corrected the error when searching for Approved or Amendment on Hold companies.

42.  Companies having status Approved or Amendment on Hold are now included in the CSV download or pdf file.

43.  Added a new Search criteria for “Amendment Pending”. Same are included in the CSV download or PDF file.

44.  Enhanced internal logic of assigning new user privileges to all Bharat Trade users.

45.  Deactivating a company by Super Admin for a specific Service Provider is now more user friendly. 

46.  Updated messages displayed while registering company to make the process easier to understand.

47.  Application will not ask for document expiration date anymore.

User Registration

48.  In User Management service, under “Member Since” section, Bharat Trade now displays the date on which the user was registered.

49.  Provided search option for finding users in Suspended or Locked status.

50.  Updated the alert message shown to the Suspended / Locked user trying to login.

51.  Account deactivation / re-activation emails will now be sent to following users - Company Admin, Admin, and Non Admin Users.

52.  Super Admin users can now update email ID of users.

Inter Terminal Transfer (ITT)

53. Fixed an issue relating to error message “Invalid CFS/ICD” when using Inter Terminal Transfer (ITT) service at MICT Mundra Terminal. 

Berthing Advice

54. Sorting as per ETD column in the search screen is enabled.
