Introduction
This section describes the process of creating a speed gate request.
Shipping Lines, Trucking Companies, Terminal Admin/CCS Admin users can create a speed gate request.
Once created, the speed gate request will be in PENDING status until it is approved by the Terminal Admin/CCS Admin user.
Create Speed Gate
Navigate to the Search Speed Gate page using the top navigation bar.
2. Navigate to the Create Speed Gate page using the left navigation bar.
3. The Requested By field will be auto-populated by the system
Select the Appointment Type from the drop-down.
4. If the Appointment Type selected was Drop Off Export:
a. A field labelled Export Booking No/EDO No will be displayed.
Enter the Export Booking No in this field and click outside the field.
b. The Available Quantity of the Export Booking No will be displayed by the system.
Available Quantity indicates the number of containers in the Export Booking for which Container Appointment is not yet created
c. Use the reefer checkbox to select whether the speed gate consists entirely of reefers (or) non-reefers.
All of the containers moved using a particular speed gate request should either Reefer or Non-Reefer. There cannot be a mix of reefer and non-reefer containers for a particular speed gate.
5. If the Appointment Type selected was Pickup Empty:
a. A field labelled Export Booking No/EDO No will be displayed.
Enter the Export Booking No/EDO in this field and click outside the field.
b. The "Available Quantity" of the Export Booking No/EDO will be displayed by the system.
Available Quantity indicates the number of containers in the Export Booking for which Container Appointment is not yet created
6. If the Appointment Type selected was Pickup Import:
a. A field labelled Group Code will be displayed. Enter the Group Code in this field.
b. Enter the quantity that needs to be allocated to this speed gate in the Available Quantity field. The system will not validate this value.
c. Use the reefer checkbox to select whether the speed gate consists entirely of reefers (or) non-reefers.
7. Select one or more Trucking Companies that can use this speed gate to create Container Appointment.
7.1 Enter the trucking company name in the field labelled Company Name.
The system will give suggestions once the user enters three alphabets.
7.2 Select the required company from the suggestions.
7.3 Use the + icon at the top right corner of the table if it is required to add another Trucking Company
8. Add Speed Gate Date & Time
8.1 Enter Start Date and Time, End Date and Time and Requested Quantity.
8.2 Users can enter multiple time ranges. Use the + button to add a new row.
9. After adding the required time ranges and the corresponding quantities, click on the SUBMIT button to submit the speed gate request.
10. The user will be navigated to the search page for speed gates. An appropriate message will be displayed as the top banner.
