Introduction

Shipping Line, CCS Admin, and Terminal Admin users can use this page to fetch, view and update container details.

On Hire Containers

Navigate to the On Hire Container page from the top navigation bar(Manage → OPERATIONS → On Hire Container)

Search for Containers

1. Users can perform a search using Container Number(Up to 100 Container numbers can be provided separated by “,” (or) User can directly copy-paste from excel as well)

2. Enter the Container Number(s) and click on the Search button.

3. The container details will be displayed as below based on the search parameters

If CCS Admin/Terminal Admin is performing the search, details of all available containers will be displayed

If Shipping Line is performing the search, only the details of the containers associated with the respective Line Code will de be displayed

In case a non-existing container number is used in the search, the details will be loaded as blank. Users can provide values. A new container will be created in the system after submission

Edit Container Details

4. The following fields are editable:

a. Owner(The field will be a dropdown with available Line Codes. Only CCS Admin/Terminal Admin can edit this field. The field will be auto-populated and non-editable for Shipping Line users)

b. ISO Code(The field will a dropdown. The SZ/TP/HT field will be auto-populated based on this selection)

c. Safe Weight

d. Tare Weight

The user can edit the fields for the required records.


5. User has the option to edit multiple records at a time.

 

5.1 Select the records that need to be edited using the corresponding checkboxes.


5.2 Click on the BULK UPDATE button


5.3 A pop-up with the following fields will be displayed

a. Owner(The field will be a dropdown with available Line Codes. Only CCS Admin/Terminal Admin can edit this field. The field will be auto-populated and non-editable for Shipping Line users)

b. ISO Code(The field will a dropdown. The SZ/TP/HT field will be auto-populated based on this selection)

c. Safe Weight

d. Tare Weight


5.4 Provide values for the field(s) that need to be edited. Click on apply button.

Leaving a field empty in the Bulk Update pop-up and clicking on apply button will not clear values in that field for the selected records.


5.5 Values provided in the Bulk Update pop-up will be applied to the selected records.


Submit

6. After editing the required records, use the checkboxes to select the records that need to be submitted.

7. Click on submit button.

8. A message with the number of successes/failures will be displayed in the top banner.
