Summary

This is a user guide for the Speed Gate module.

Speed Gates helps Shipping Lines and Trucking Companies to block timeslots in bulk.

Speed Gates are created for Appointments of type:

  • Pickup Import (created using Group Code)

  • Pickup Empty (created using Export Booking No/EDO No)

  • Drop Off Export (created using Export Booking No)

At a time, there can be only one active speed gate of a specific Appointment Type associated with a particular Export Booking No/EDO No.

Speed Gate Flow

  1. Shipping Line, Trucking Company or Terminal Admin/CCS Admin user creates a speed gate request.

  2. Terminal Admin/CCS Admin edits the speed gate request and allocates timeslots.

  3. Terminal Admin/CCS Admin approves the speed gate. Now the timeslots allocated for this speed gate will be blocked for this speed gate.

  4. Once the Speed Gate is approved, the Trucking Companies added while the speed gate request was created can create Container Appointments using the speed gate.
When a Trucking Company that is part of a particular speed gate is creating a Container Appointment with an EDO/Export Booking No/Group Code associated with the speed gate, the system will show the timeslots that are blocked for the particular speed gate.
