Introduction

This section describes how a user can Apply/Release Holds on BOLs.

Apply/Release Holds for Containers

Search

1. Navigate to the Container Inquiry page from the top navigation bar(Track → SHIPMENT → Container Inquiry).

2. Navigate to the Add/Release Hold page from the left navigation bar(Hold Maintenance → Bill of Lading)

3. Enter one or more BOLs(Up to 100 BOLs can be provided separated by “,” (or) User can directly copy-paste from excel as well) and click on the search icon.

4. The search results matching the criteria will be displayed.

Add Hold

1. Users can apply hold by

a. Clicking on the ADD button corresponding to a record

b. Selecting multiple records using checkboxes and clicking on the ADD HOLD button at the bottom of the page.

The ADD and ADD HOLD button will be enabled/disabled based on user permissions and the existing holds of a particular or selected records.

2. The below pop-up will be displayed

3. Select one or more hold(s) from the drop-down.

4. Click on the create button.

5. Once the user clicks on the create button a message indicating the number of success/failure of holds added will be shown in the top banner.

Release Hold

1. Users can release hold by

a. Clicking on the RELEASE button corresponding to a record

b. Selecting multiple records using checkboxes and clicking on the RELEASE HOLD button at the bottom of the page.

The RELEASE and RELEASE HOLD button will be enabled/disabled based on user permissions and the existing holds of a particular or selected records.

 

2. The below pop-up will be displayed

3. Select one or more hold(s) from the drop-down.

4. Click on the RELEASE button.

5. One user clicks on the RELEASE button a message indicating the number of success/failure of holds released will be shown in the top banner
