Create Truck Visit Appointments

Overview

This section describes the process of creating a Truck Visit Appointment. Truck Visit Appointment is created from the landing page of Container Appointments.

Create a Truck Visit Appointment

  1. Navigate to the landing page of Container Appointments Manage → GATE → Container Appointment.

  2. Users can utilize the search parameters to filter the Container Appointments as required.
    Provide the required search parameters and click on the SEARCH button

  3. From the search results, select the Container Appointment(s) that needs to be associated with the Truck Visit Appointment that is going to be created.

  4. When one or more Container Appointments are selected, a create truck visit appt button will be displayed at the bottom of the page. Click on the button.

While selecting the Container Appointments keep the following points in mind:

  1. The Container Appointments need to have status TVA REQD (Fig 1)

  2. The total size of containers in Pickup container appointments should not exceed 60ft (Fig 2)

  3. The total size of containers in Dropoff container appointments should not exceed 60ft (Fig 2)

  4. All the selected container appointments need to have the same Appt Date and Time (Fig 3)

  5. There should be atleast one Trucking Company that is common across the selected Container Appointment.

In the above cases, the system will show error messages as a pop-up user when the user clicks on create truck visit appt button. The user can correct and repeat the process.

 

 

 

 


  1. Once the user clicks on create truck visit appt button (if there are no validation errors), a pop-up with the following fields will be shown.

    1. Appt Date and Time (Auto populated and non-editable).

    2. Trucking Company - Auto populated and non-editable (Trucking Company users).

    3. Trucking Company - Dropdown (CCS Admin and Terminal Admin).

    4. Truck ID - Input field.

    5. Driver Port Pass ID - Input field.


  1. Once the user provides values for mandatory fields, the submit button will be enabled. Click on the button.


  1. Once the user clicks on the submit button, a message “Truck Visit Appointment (CCS TVA ID:) submitted successfully” will be displayed as a top banner.
    Users can click on the VIEW button in the banner to navigate to the View Truck Visit Appointment page of the created appointment.
