Container Inquiry

Overview

This service allows the users to search for containers using Container Number, BOL, and Terminal location. Container inquiry is nothing, but the user can keep a track on their containers.

Container Inquiry

  1. Login to your CCS account, and click SIGN IN.

  2. In the Select Location window, click the drop-down and select the location Dar es Salaam.

  3. Click CONFIRM.
    Note: The Confirm button is enabled only after selecting the location.

  4. Navigate to the Container Inquiry page from the top navigation bar, go to Track SHIPMENT Container Inquiry.

  5. The user is navigated to Container Inquiry page.

Containers

  1. User can perform a search using two parameters:

a. Container Number (Up to 100 Container numbers can be provided separated by “,” (or) User can directly copy-paste from excel as well)

b. BOL

Location is mandatory to perform the search. Location is automatically updated.

Either Container Number or BOL is mandatory to perform the search. Users can provide value for both fields as well. In this case, all the Containers provided in the Container Number field along with the Containers associated with the BOL will be retrieved when the user performs a search.

  1. To update the location while performing the search, click the drop-down icon as depicted in the image below.

  1. The default port Dar es Salaam reflects on the screen.

  1. Enter the Container number or BOL that exists in the system and click on the search icon.
    Note: The user can search with container number or BOL or a combination of both. They can also enter up to 100 container numbers separated by comma or space.

  1. Details of the containers matching the given search parameters are displayed.

  • In general container inquiry the user can search for Import, Export, and Storage containers.

  • Details of on-hire containers are fetched by the container enquiry service. Only the active units are displayed in the search results.

  • All the dates in the search results are in DD/MM/YYYY format.

  1. Click the drop-down icon corresponding to a row to see more information about the container.

  1. The four icons under Additional Details denote Reefer, Hazard, OOG, and Holds respectively. In case Hazard/OOG/Hold information is present for the container, the respective icon is highlighted.

    1. Reefer

    2. Hazardous

    3. OOG (Out Of Gauge)

    4. Hold(s)

  2. If the Reefer icon is highlighted, then the user can see the temperature details.

  3. If the container is hazardous, then the Hazardous icon is highlighted as depicted in the image.

  4. If the unit has any active holds, the user can click on the hold icon to check the details.

    1. The user can see the details in the Hold Details window.

  5. To check the dimensions, the user can click on the OOG (Out Of Gauge) icon to check the details.

    1. An OOG Dimensions details window appears on the screen.

  6. To download the CSV file, click on the CSV icon as depicted in the image below.

  7. An CSV file is downloaded in your system.

  8. The CSV file gives the detailed picture of all the Containers that are created and their statuses.

Import Container

The Import Containers section displays data only for the import units.

Steps

  1. User can perform a search using two parameters:

    a. Container Number (Up to 100 Container numbers can be provided separated by “,” (or) User can directly copy-paste from excel as well)

    b. BOL

  1. To download the CSV file, click on the CSV icon as depicted in the image below.

  2. An CSV file is downloaded in your system.
