Introduction

Company Admin and Internal Admin users can add users and manage user profiles of individual users.

For information on how to manage a user's own profile visit this page

In this section we discuss:

  1. Add user

  2. Manage User Profile

  3. Approve/Reject connection request sent by a user


Add user

Company Admin and Internal Admin users can add new users.

1. On the User page, click on the ADD USER button


2. Provide the following details

  • Email ID

  • User Type - select from the User Type dropdown

  • End Date - expiry date of the user


3. While adding permissions to the user we have two options:

  1. Provide custom permissions from scratch

  2. Copy permissions from another user

This can be chosen from the drop-down labeled “Type or select user name”. Admin can search for a user to copy permissions from, or select the Custom Create option from the dropdown to start from scratch. This will render a section where user rights can be selected(In case “Custom Create” was chosen, the “Review and edit the copied rights” checkbox needs to be checked to see/modify the permissions).


4. User rights can be configured in 4 sections

  • Department selection

  • Company and User Management Rights

  • Service Provider and Role Selection

  • Service Rights

In case the option to copy permission from another user was chosen in the previous step, permissions will be auto-selected based on the user

Once the user selects permissions in Company and User Management Rights and Service Provider and Role Selection, a default selection will be made for the Service Rights section.

4.1 Select department

4.3 Select the role that is to be assigned to the user for each service provider in the Service Provider and Role Selection


4.4 Provide service permissions and then click on ADD button.


5. You will be navigated to the User page. A message “Successfully Invited” will be displayed.

The status of the user will be INVITED.

An email will be sent to the created user’s email id inviting them to join CCS.



Manage user

View User Profile

1. On the User page, search for a user. Click on the User Name of a user.


2. User will be navigated to the About User page. User can use the left navigation bar to go to different pages and view the details.


The status of a newly created user will be INVITED until the user signup to the portal. The admin can send an activation link to the user’s email id.

For sending the link, Navigate to the Account Settings page from the left navigation bar and click on the SEND ACTIVATION LINK button.


Add user to a company

  1. From the left navigation bar, go to the About User page. Click on ADD USER TO COMPANY button


2. Select the company that you want the user to be added to from the Company dropdown.

Click on NEXT button


3. Click on YES in the confirmation popup


4. You will be navigated to the Add User page.

The email id will be prefilled and non-editable.

Select the user permissions similar to Add User flow and click on ADD button.


5. You will be navigated to the User page.

A message “Successfully Invited” will be displayed


Suspend User

  1. From the left navigation bar, go to the Account Settings page. Click on SUSPEND button

Only Internal Admin can perform this action.


2. Enter any comments in the Suspend Comment field.

Upload any documents if required

Select the people that need to be notified of this suspension from Send notification in the company to radio buttons.

Click on YES button to continue.


3. The status icon of the user will change(see figure).


4. You can revoke the suspension by clicking on UNSUSPEND button


5. Enter any comments in the Suspend Comment field.

Select the people that need to be notified of this suspension from Send notification in the company to radio buttons.

Click on YES button to continue.

Unlock user

In case a user’s account is locked due to the entry of wrong credentials multiple times, an admin can unlock the account. If a user’s account is locked there will be a lock icon in the left pane near the user name.

  1. To unlock, navigate to the Account Settings page from the left navigation bar and click on UNLOCK USER button.


2. The lock icon near the username will change to a tick icon.


Active/Deactivate User

1. To Activate/Deactivate the user account for a particular company, Navigate to the Workspace page using the left navigation bar and click on Deactivate/Activate switch.


2. The user status will change to INACTIVE.


Edit user profile

An admin can edit the following details of a user

  • Workspace Page: User Type, Department, End Date

  • Company Rights Page

To start editing, click on the EDIT icon at the bottom pane.

Once the EDIT button is clicked, the user can navigate only to Workspace and Company Rights page until the modifications are saved.


Edit Workspace

  1. Navigate to the Workspace page using the left navigation bar.

Modify the fields User Type, Department, and End Date if required.

Click on SAVE button


Edit Company Rights

  1. Navigate to the Company Rights page using the left navigation bar.


3. Modify the rights as required.

Click on SAVE button


Approve/Reject connection request

1. Admins can approve/reject a connection request sent by a user.
On the Users page click on the USER REQUESTS button.


2. A popup with the list of connection requests will appear.


3. Click on the three dots corresponding to the request you want to take an action


Approve request

  1. Click on the Add User option


2. You will be navigated to the Add User page.

The email id will be prefilled and noneditable.

Select the user permissions similar to Add User flow and click on ADD button.


3. You will be navigated to the User page.

A message “Successfully Invited” will be displayed


Reject User

  1. Click on the Reject option


2. Click on the YES button in the confirmation pop-up.


3. A message “User request rejected successfully” will be displayed

If you click on the View Profile option, you will be navigated to the user profile. You can perform the Reject and Add User actions from there also by clicking on the respective buttons in the bottom pane.
