Introduction
Container Detention can be used by Shipping Line and Shipping Agents to update MT return Location, Import Delivery Validity date, and MT Return dates.
Container Detention
Search
Navigate to the Container Inquiry from the top navigation bar(Track → SHIPMENT → Container Inquiry).
2. Container Inquiry screen will load where Container Number(s) or Bill of Lading can be used for Search.
Users can search for containers using:
a. Container Number(Up to 100 Container numbers can be provided separated by “,” (or) User can directly copy-paste from excel as well)
b. BOL - Bill of Lading
3. To search with Container Number, enter the Container Number(s) in the respective field and click on the search option
4. Click on the Reset icon to clear the previous search criteria and search results
Update Container Detention
1. Update can be performed for single or multiple containers
a. To Update a single container - Click on the three dots to select the Update Detention option.
b. To perform bulk updates - Click on the Select All check box, UPDATE DETENTION button will appear at the bottom of the screen.
The UPDATE DETENTION button will be enabled/disabled based on the user permissions and if container belong to Shipping line.
2. The below pop-up will be displayed once the UPDATE DETENTION option is selected.
MT RETURN LOCATION, IMPORT DELIVERY VALIDITY DATEand MT RETURN DATE options will be displayed and enabled based on User privileges, Container Category and Status

3. Select one or more options from the popup and click on UPDATE button.
4. Success message will be displayed and updated information will be saved. Expand option will be available to view the updated details
