Overview

Import Export service allows the Importer, Exporter, and the Agents to provide information to terminal for Export and Import of the containers. The terminal can review the required documents and provide appropriate comments for Importer, or Exporter to address. The process allows for approval and the rejection by terminal and subsequently information is synced with Zodiac TOS (Terminal Operating System).

The broader understanding, import in shipping is the process of receiving or bringing in goods from abroad for the purpose of trade. These goods can be received by individuals, companies or government, and are used for the processing of other products or to be resold to the final consumers. On the other hand export is nothing but any goods moved out country is export, port authorities of at least two countries are involved in the shipping process. The country that exports, has to provide clearance for goods to be loaded on to the ship. The country that is importing, has to provide clearance for goods to enter the country.
