Introduction

This section describes how a user can Apply/Release Holds on Containers

Apply/Release Holds for Containers

  1. Navigate to the Container Inquiry from the top navigation bar(Track → SHIPMENT → Container Inquiry).

2. Navigate to the Hold/Release page from the left navigation bar(Hold Maintenance → Hold/ Release)

Users can search for containers using:

a. Container Number(Up to 100 Container numbers can be provided separated by “,” (or) User can directly copy-paste from excel as well)

b. BOL - Bill of Lading

3. To search with Container Number, enter the Container Number(s) in the respectivefieldand click on the search option

Add Hold

1. Users can apply hold by

a. Clicking on the

Status
titleadd
button corresponding to a record

b. Select multiple records using checkboxes and click on the

Status
titleADD HOLD
button at the bottom of the page.

The

Status
titleadd
and
Status
titleadd hold
button will be enabled/disabled based on user permissions and the existing holds of a particular or selected records.

2. The below pop-up will be displayed

3. Select one or more hold(s) from the drop-down.

4. Click on

Status
titleCREATE
button.

5. Once the user clicks on the

titleCREATE
button a message indicating the number of success/failure of holds added will be shown in the top banner

Release Hold

1. Users can release hold by

a. Clicking on the

Status
titlerelease
button corresponding to a record

b. Select multiple records using checkboxes and click on the

Status
titlerelease HOLD
button at the bottom of the page.

The

Status
titlerelease
and
Status
titlerelease hold
button will be enabled/disabled based on user permissions and the existing holds of a particular or selected records.

2. The below pop-up will be displayed

3. Select one or more hold(s) from the drop-down.

4. Click on the

button.
